This very rare color-change garnet is from a deposit in the Taita Taveta area in Kenya. The color is a purplish-red in an incandescent light, changing to a bluish-green in fluorescent light, which is very similar to alexandrite. This is definitely a collector?s stone. In sizes from 1.25 to 2.5 carats each.
